Do I need a website?

Only you can determine if your company needs a web site.  A web site is a communication tool – not an advertisement.  If your business is one hundred percent local, you have a waiting list of customers, and you can handle that service effectively, you may not need a website. 

How much will it cost?

Horizon Media Group will create a customized estimate for your site, giving you the details you need to make a decision. Web sites vary in complexity and scope, and therefore price. Each site we design is built from the ground up to meet the needs of the client.

How long will it take?

We strive to deliver your site in time to meet your needs.  Exactly how long is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule.

What is a Domain Name, and do i need one?

A domain name is essentially a signpost on the Internet. Rather than having to remember IP address, which are composed of four groups of three numbers, you can simply remember the name of a website.  You should register your domain name as soon as you can, even if you're not expecting to create a web site immediately. It is better to reserve you domain name while it is still available.  

We ask our client to register their domain name, to assure ownership, and we are happy to assist you in this regard.  

What is web hosting?

Think of web hosting as something similar to a post office box. It is the physical location of your website. Many companies that offer web hosting are in fact simply resellers for another company and do not have physical access to the hosting computers. While generally this is fine, if a problem occurs they must rely on their hosting company to fix things. So, if your website is experiencing problems, you may not have much success calling your hosting provider.

Horizon Media Group does not host web sites. We are happy to recommend hosting services depending on your needs, and will help you set up hosting accounts with the provider of your choice. We believe this to be the best situation for our customers, as it allows them the freedom to move their site to a new host as they wish.

If i already have a website, can you make it better?

We would be happy to have a look at your current site, and help you determine where improvements could be made.  Should you decide to go forward with those suggestions, we'll give you a written estimate of the cost.

 What about updates?

Horizon Media Group will do as much or as little maintenance as you want. You can choose to maintain your site, and we will design a CMS (Content Management System) to suit your needs, or you can rely on us to handle you updates. It's your choice.
