Paducah Photo
The Paducah Photo contest has been running for over 30 years, a long-standing tradition of exhibiting the best photography our area has to offer in a professional gallery space, juried by visiting professional photographers.
We've contributed time and energy to the contest's materials and marketing in the past, so it was only natural that they should come to us when they decided to "kick it up a notch" by opening the contest to online submissions.
We created a stylish new design, and integrated an e-commerce solution that manages entries, handles credit card processing, creates invoices and receipts, and organizes all submissions into a clear and easy format, allowing a juror to log in at their convenience and quickly rate and sort through the submissions, as well as leaving comments for the participants.
From the contestant's perspective, we also provide a way for them to keep up with their submissions, view billing info, and keep abreast of how they're doing in the contest.
As an opening run, the results were impressive: with the website able to handle online submissions, the contest increased its entries by 71%. Even more critically, the overhead and labor previously needed to manage the entries was dramatically reduced.
